Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.142559.5 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Friday, June 27, 2025 till 4:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 22509.23 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 120047.52 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jul-25 futures was reached at 22365.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 19854.80 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with August-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.1307 or 1.35% to Rs. 95780 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN June-2025 contract was down by Rs.1182 or 1.21% to Rs. 96565 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA June-2025 contract was down by Rs.827 or 1.06% to Rs. 77099 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.151 or 1.54% to Rs. 9669 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM July-2025 contract was down by Rs.1152 or 1.19% to Rs. 95300 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was down by Rs.2000 or 1.87% to Rs. 104755 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.1914 or 1.8% to Rs. 104524 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was down by Rs.1836 or 1.73% to Rs. 104430 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 8376.09 crores with volume of 8721 lots and OI of 16563 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4604.37 crores with volume of 14461 lots and OI of 19099 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1189.66 crores. COPPER June-2025 contract was down by Rs.5.45 or 0.61% to Rs. 884.7 per kg and ZINC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.05 or 0.02% to Rs. 257 per kg while ALUMINIUM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.3 or 0.12% to Rs. 247.2 per kg and LEAD July-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.55 or 0.3% to Rs. 180 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 860.41 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 88.19 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 29.81 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 151.27 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1418.76 crores. CRUDEOIL July-2025 contract was up by Rs.9 or 0.16% to Rs. 5634 per BBL while NATURALGAS July-2025 contract was up by Rs.9.9 or 3.29% to Rs. 310.8 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 263.16 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 915.53 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.4.8 or 0.52% to Rs. 910 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 120047.52 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 832.58 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options:
Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was up by Rs.1.9 or 0.91% to Rs. 211.20 with volume of 21519 lots & OI of 8681 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was down by Rs.5.8 or 3.16% to Rs. 177.5 with volume of 17858 lots & OI of 8309 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options:
Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was up by Rs.4.45 or 28.53% to Rs. 20.05 with volume of 8705 lots & OI of 3644 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by Rs.4.45 or 23.73% to Rs. 14.3 with volume of 6887 lots & OI of 4643 lots.
GOLD Options:
Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.871.5 or 72.96% to Rs. 323 with volume of 11863 lots & OI of 1450 lots, while GOLD Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by Rs.122 or 259.57% to Rs. 169 with volume of 13152 lots & OI of 1618 lots.
SILVER Options:
Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.110000 was down by Rs.687.5 or 33.58% to Rs. 1360 with volume of 683 lots & OI of 885 lots, while SILVER Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by Rs.204.5 or 38.95% to Rs. 729.5 with volume of 1006 lots & OI of 493 lots.
