
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.65264.56 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Wednesday, May 07, 2025 till 4:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 13800.81 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 51462.29 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX May-25 futures was reached at 22201.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 11090.42 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.262 or 0.27% to Rs. 97229 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN May-2025 contract was down by Rs.259 or 0.27% to Rs. 97279 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA May-2025 contract was down by Rs.261 or 0.33% to Rs. 78025 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.40 or 0.41% to Rs. 9773 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.280 or 0.29% to Rs. 97180 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was down by Rs.485 or 0.5% to Rs. 96216 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.466 or 0.48% to Rs. 96266 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was down by Rs.491 or 0.51% to Rs. 96243 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6223.10 crores with volume of 6412 lots and OI of 19415 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1158.23 crores with volume of 3997 lots and OI of 17825 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1056.38 crores. COPPER May-2025 contract was down by Rs.2.35 or 0.28% to Rs. 848.8 per kg and ZINC May-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.85 or 0.34% to Rs. 247.7 per kg while ALUMINIUM May-2025 contract was down by Rs.1.35 or 0.58% to Rs. 230.55 per kg and LEAD May-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.75 or 0.43% to Rs. 176.55 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 690.21 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 107.76 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 30.18 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 153.13 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1652.99 crores. CRUDEOIL May-2025 contract was up by Rs.45 or 0.9% to Rs. 5056 per BBL while NATURALGAS May-2025 contract was up by Rs.11 or 3.77% to Rs. 303.1 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 479.42 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 912.52 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.5.1 or 0.56% to Rs. 912 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was down by Rs.50 or 0.09% to Rs. 54450 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 51462.29 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 904.24 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.5100 was up by Rs.15 or 17.24% to Rs. 102.00 with volume of 48242 lots & OI of 13031 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5000 was down by Rs.17.5 or 14.15% to Rs. 106.2 with volume of 49563 lots & OI of 8596 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by Rs.5.55 or 39.78% to Rs. 19.50 with volume of 11194 lots & OI of 4130 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by Rs.5.35 or 24.37% to Rs. 16.6 with volume of 10446 lots & OI of 4402 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by Rs.164 or 7.4% to Rs. 2052 with volume of 1329 lots & OI of 373 lots, while GOLD Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by Rs.89.5 or 6.88% to Rs. 1391 with volume of 961 lots & OI of 483 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.110000 was down by Rs.93.5 or 12.09% to Rs. 680 with volume of 336 lots & OI of 539 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by Rs.44.5 or 1.47% to Rs. 3062 with volume of 175 lots & OI of 142 lots.
