
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.60473.45 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Thursday, May 29, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 18843.05 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 41629.88 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jun-25 futures was reached at 21880.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 15824.18 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.10 or 0.01% to Rs. 95288 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN May-2025 contract was down by Rs.620 or 0.65% to Rs. 95369 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA May-2025 contract was down by Rs.331 or 0.43% to Rs. 76412 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.46 or 0.48% to Rs. 9607 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.39 or 0.04% to Rs. 95138 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was up by Rs.982 or 1.01% to Rs. 98237 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.900 or 0.93% to Rs. 98117 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.889 or 0.91% to Rs. 98103 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 8541.96 crores with volume of 8963 lots and OI of 15508 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2091.01 crores with volume of 7110 lots and OI of 19825 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1152.95 crores. COPPER May-2025 contract was up by Rs.5.5 or 0.64% to Rs. 861.3 per kg and ZINC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.25 or 0.49% to Rs. 256.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM May-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.95 or 0.4% to Rs. 236 per kg and LEAD June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.25 or 0.14% to Rs. 178.45 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 711.52 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 87.85 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 10.10 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 231.73 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1992.23 crores. CRUDEOIL June-2025 contract was up by Rs.20 or 0.38% to Rs. 5326 per BBL while NATURALGAS June-2025 contract was down by Rs.2.8 or 0.92% to Rs. 302.5 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 589.32 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 1079.91 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.3 or 0.14% to Rs. 915 per kg and COTTONCNDY July-2025 contract was down by Rs.20 or 0.04% to Rs. 54500 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 41629.88 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1011.55 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.5400 was up by Rs.4 or 2.85% to Rs. 144.30 with volume of 37878 lots & OI of 10651 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5300 was down by Rs.13.6 or 7.45% to Rs. 168.9 with volume of 50716 lots & OI of 10189 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was up by Rs.0.4 or 2.19% to Rs. 18.70 with volume of 12696 lots & OI of 4089 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by Rs.0.2 or 1.13% to Rs. 17.85 with volume of 16215 lots & OI of 3850 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by Rs.79.5 or 4.18% to Rs. 1982 with volume of 946 lots & OI of 366 lots, while GOLD Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.19 or 1.29% to Rs. 1458 with volume of 1084 lots & OI of 796 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by Rs.479.5 or 22.59% to Rs. 2602.5 with volume of 832 lots & OI of 532 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by Rs.387 or 17.08% to Rs. 1879 with volume of 750 lots & OI of 496 lots.
