
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.54482.63 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Friday, May 30, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 15489.2 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 38993.3 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jun-25 futures was reached at 21871.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 12352.02 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.339 or 0.36% to Rs. 95050 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN June-2025 contract was down by Rs.360 or 0.37% to Rs. 95769 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA June-2025 contract was down by Rs.178 or 0.23% to Rs. 76862 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.31 or 0.32% to Rs. 9637 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.316 or 0.33% to Rs. 94979 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was down by Rs.270 or 0.28% to Rs. 97556 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.230 or 0.24% to Rs. 97485 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was down by Rs.234 or 0.24% to Rs. 97470 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6147.72 crores with volume of 6423 lots and OI of 15475 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1916.84 crores with volume of 6559 lots and OI of 20435 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 767.65 crores. COPPER June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.95 or 0.11% to Rs. 863.2 per kg and ZINC June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.7 or 0.28% to Rs. 253.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.15 or 0.06% to Rs. 236.6 per kg and LEAD June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.2 or 0.11% to Rs. 178 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 478.50 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 62.02 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 13.87 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 148.98 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1843.25 crores. CRUDEOIL June-2025 contract was up by Rs.68 or 1.3% to Rs. 5283 per BBL while NATURALGAS June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.6 or 0.53% to Rs. 301 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 689.76 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 865.68 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.1.3 or 0.14% to Rs. 912 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 38993.3 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 901.98 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.5300 was up by Rs.31.9 or 24.18% to Rs. 163.80 with volume of 41587 lots & OI of 16082 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5200 was down by Rs.31.4 or 19.18% to Rs. 132.3 with volume of 33444 lots & OI of 11923 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by Rs.1.05 or 5.5% to Rs. 20.15 with volume of 10352 lots & OI of 5097 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by Rs.0.95 or 4.79% to Rs. 18.9 with volume of 13217 lots & OI of 5365 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.335 or 15.49% to Rs. 1827 with volume of 833 lots & OI of 358 lots, while GOLD Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by Rs.159 or 12.36% to Rs. 1445 with volume of 1028 lots & OI of 900 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by Rs.158.5 or 5.64% to Rs. 2652 with volume of 672 lots & OI of 536 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was up by Rs.91.5 or 4.59% to Rs. 2083.5 with volume of 553 lots & OI of 309 lots.
