
India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.181478.47 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 25265.22 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 156211.88 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX May-25 futures was reached at 21576.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 21336.40 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.1839 or 1.92% to Rs. 93753 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN April-2025 contract was down by Rs.1582 or 1.65% to Rs. 94152 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA April-2025 contract was down by Rs.1233 or 1.61% to Rs. 75500 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL April-2025 contract was down by Rs.135 or 1.4% to Rs. 9524 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM May-2025 contract was down by Rs.1709 or 1.79% to Rs. 93850 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with May expiry contract was down by Rs.3172 or 3.27% to Rs. 93690 per kg, while SILVERM April-2025 contract was down by Rs.2892 or 2.99% to Rs. 93840 per kg and SILVERMIC April-2025 contract was down by Rs.3258 or 3.37% to Rs. 93501 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 10978.73 crores with volume of 11608 lots and OI of 19722 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3925.47 crores with volume of 13630 lots and OI of 17745 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1930.61 crores. COPPER April-2025 contract was down by Rs.25.7 or 3.04% to Rs. 820.5 per kg and ZINC April-2025 contract was down by Rs.2.5 or 1.01% to Rs. 245.75 per kg while ALUMINIUM May-2025 contract was down by Rs.3.65 or 1.54% to Rs. 232.8 per kg and LEAD May-2025 contract was down by Rs.1 or 0.56% to Rs. 177.2 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1465.79 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 123.54 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 19.44 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 204.21 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1300.75 crores. CRUDEOIL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.93 or 1.8% to Rs. 5083 per BBL while NATURALGAS May-2025 contract was down by Rs.2.4 or 0.84% to Rs. 284.6 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 440.59 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 637.27 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.16.8 or 1.8% to Rs. 916 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was down by Rs.70 or 0.13% to Rs. 54600 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 156211.88 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1141.59 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.5100 was down by Rs.45.5 or 18.72% to Rs. 197.60 with volume of 29512 lots & OI of 8294 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5100 was up by Rs.46.6 or 27.71% to Rs. 214.8 with volume of 31516 lots & OI of 6436 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was down by Rs.1.55 or 8.2% to Rs. 17.35 with volume of 7548 lots & OI of 3090 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was up by Rs.1.5 or 8.9% to Rs. 18.35 with volume of 6669 lots & OI of 3617 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.740 or 93.61% to Rs. 50.5 with volume of 13389 lots & OI of 1995 lots, while GOLD Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.94000 was up by Rs.407.5 or 1116.44% to Rs. 444 with volume of 13361 lots & OI of 799 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by Rs.1105 or 38.09% to Rs. 1796 with volume of 780 lots & OI of 857 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by Rs.1538 or 73.17% to Rs. 3640 with volume of 612 lots & OI of 414 lots.
