
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.72180.28 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 16055.62 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 56122.78 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jun-25 futures was reached at 23180.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 11474.80 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with August-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.186 or 0.19% to Rs. 99355 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN June-2025 contract was down by Rs.17 or 0.02% to Rs. 99053 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA June-2025 contract was down by Rs.44 or 0.06% to Rs. 79616 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.6 or 0.06% to Rs. 9972 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM July-2025 contract was down by Rs.61 or 0.06% to Rs. 98850 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was up by Rs.429 or 0.39% to Rs. 109424 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.456 or 0.42% to Rs. 109063 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.443 or 0.41% to Rs. 109039 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 5058.18 crores with volume of 5085 lots and OI of 16197 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2097.89 crores with volume of 6369 lots and OI of 25511 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1301.19 crores. COPPER June-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.45 or 0.28% to Rs. 882.2 per kg and ZINC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.1 or 0.04% to Rs. 252.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.2 or 0.08% to Rs. 245.1 per kg and LEAD June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.25 or 0.14% to Rs. 178.4 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 798.72 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 236.30 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 30.68 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 159.05 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 3228.68 crores. CRUDEOIL July-2025 contract was up by Rs.29 or 0.46% to Rs. 6328 per BBL while NATURALGAS June-2025 contract was up by Rs.3.5 or 1.06% to Rs. 332.6 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1810.15 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 1035.96 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.8 or 0.09% to Rs. 921 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 56122.78 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1356.41 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.6400 was up by Rs.44.1 or 10.06% to Rs. 482.40 with volume of 16635 lots & OI of 3129 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option contract at Strike price of with volume of lots & OI of lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.330 was up by Rs.1.55 or 14.69% to Rs. 12.10 with volume of 30068 lots & OI of 9735 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.330 was down by Rs.1.95 or 17.03% to Rs. 9.5 with volume of 29446 lots & OI of 11175 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by Rs.116 or 10.08% to Rs. 1034.5 with volume of 1276 lots & OI of 1316 lots, while GOLD Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by Rs.14.5 or 2.06% to Rs. 717 with volume of 1339 lots & OI of 860 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.110000 was up by Rs.171 or 13.13% to Rs. 1473.5 with volume of 2717 lots & OI of 1712 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.108000 was down by Rs.193 or 15.1% to Rs. 1085 with volume of 2063 lots & OI of 644 lots
