
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.53163.99 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Wednesday, June 04, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 12694.98 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 40465.84 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jun-25 futures was reached at 22504.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 10241.99 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.225 or 0.23% to Rs. 96750 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN June-2025 contract was up by Rs.166 or 0.17% to Rs. 97550 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA June-2025 contract was up by Rs.194 or 0.25% to Rs. 78229 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL June-2025 contract was up by Rs.35 or 0.36% to Rs. 9812 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.194 or 0.2% to Rs. 96982 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was down by Rs.116 or 0.11% to Rs. 101100 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was down by Rs.76 or 0.08% to Rs. 100926 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was down by Rs.91 or 0.09% to Rs. 100900 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 5004.62 crores with volume of 5103 lots and OI of 17222 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1642.86 crores with volume of 5400 lots and OI of 19982 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1150.57 crores. COPPER June-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.05 or 0.24% to Rs. 873.65 per kg and ZINC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.3 or 0.51% to Rs. 256.45 per kg while ALUMINIUM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.1 or 0.46% to Rs. 240.55 per kg and LEAD June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.4 or 0.22% to Rs. 179.2 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 697.01 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 116.81 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 20.84 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 212.02 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1301.37 crores. CRUDEOIL June-2025 without any changes 5455 per BBL while NATURALGAS June-2025 contract was down by Rs.4.4 or 1.38% to Rs. 315.4 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 483.38 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 626.83 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.1.2 or 0.13% to Rs. 905 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 40465.84 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 764.81 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.5500 was down by Rs.3.7 or 3.09% to Rs. 115.90 with volume of 45289 lots & OI of 12159 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5400 was up by Rs.1.9 or 1.64% to Rs. 117.9 with volume of 52383 lots & OI of 18036 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was down by Rs.0.75 or 4.04% to Rs. 17.80 with volume of 8849 lots & OI of 6067 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was up by Rs.0.3 or 1.6% to Rs. 19.05 with volume of 7805 lots & OI of 3512 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by Rs.25 or 2.55% to Rs. 1004 with volume of 636 lots & OI of 580 lots, while GOLD Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.73 or 6.41% to Rs. 1066 with volume of 802 lots & OI of 832 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.101000 was down by Rs.157 or 5.85% to Rs. 2525 with volume of 886 lots & OI of 374 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by Rs.44 or 2.2% to Rs. 2048.5 with volume of 1135 lots & OI of 742 lots.
