
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.69307.28 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Thursday, July 03, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs.15108.95 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs.54196.02 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jul-25 futures was reached at 22656.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs.12076.64 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with August-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.95 or 0.1% to Rs.97295 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN July-2025 contract was up by Rs.33 or 0.03% to Rs.97557 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA July-2025 contract was up by Rs.16 or 0.02% to Rs.78280 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL July-2025 contract was down by Rs.1 or 0.01% to Rs.9835 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM July-2025 contract was down by Rs.147 or 0.15% to Rs.96850 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was up by Rs.1032 or 0.97% to Rs.107256 per kg, while SILVERM August-2025 contract was up by Rs.772 or 0.72% to Rs.108158 per kg and SILVERMIC August-2025 contract was up by Rs.771 or 0.72% to Rs.108144 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs.4794.25 crores with volume of 4920 lots and OI of 15305 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs.2663.26 crores with volume of 8198 lots and OI of 16961 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs.1230.98 crores. COPPER July-2025 contract was down by Rs.3.4 or 0.38% to Rs.902 per kg and ZINC July-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.2 or 0.08% to Rs.258.25 per kg while ALUMINIUM July-2025 contract was down by Rs.1.25 or 0.5% to Rs.249.3 per kg and LEAD July-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.5 or 0.28% to Rs.181.3 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs.908.36 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs.116.83 crores, LEAD futures Rs.23.32 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs.111.04 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs.1652.50 crores. CRUDEOIL July-2025 contract was down by Rs.13 or 0.23% to Rs.5740 per BBL while NATURALGAS July-2025 contract was up by Rs.3 or 1% to Rs.303.1 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs.487.68 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs.892.31 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL July-2025 contract was down by Rs.7.7 or 0.83% to Rs.921 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs.54196.02 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs.946.5 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.5700 was down by Rs.10.7 or 5.36% to Rs.188.90 with volume of 40200 lots & OI of 11372 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5700 was down by Rs.6.2 or 4.22% to Rs.140.7 with volume of 37068 lots & OI of 10335 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by Rs.1.5 or 8.38% to Rs.19.40 with volume of 15026 lots & OI of 8152 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by Rs.1.45 or 8.1% to Rs.16.45 with volume of 10516 lots & OI of 5567 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.99000 was down by Rs.34 or 4.22% to Rs.771 with volume of 1449 lots & OI of 397 lots, while GOLD Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.6.5 or 0.76% to Rs.853.5 with volume of 1575 lots & OI of 1058 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.110000 was up by Rs.277 or 15.54% to Rs.2059 with volume of 814 lots & OI of 1237 lots, while SILVER Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.106000 was down by Rs.307 or 15.69% to Rs.1650 with volume of 1305 lots & OI of 632 lots.
