
Mumbai: India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.58335.09 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Wednesday, July 02, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs.11048.44 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs.47285.7 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jul-25 futures was reached at 22595.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs.8079.34 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with August-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.129 or 0.13% to Rs.97380 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN July-2025 contract was up by Rs.134 or 0.14% to Rs.97542 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA July-2025 contract was up by Rs.101 or 0.13% to Rs.78278 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL July-2025 contract was up by Rs.13 or 0.13% to Rs.9839 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM July-2025 contract was up by Rs.89 or 0.09% to Rs.96949 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with September expiry contract was up by Rs.334 or 0.31% to Rs.107047 per kg, while SILVERM August-2025 contract was up by Rs.298 or 0.28% to Rs.106972 per kg and SILVERMIC August-2025 contract was up by Rs.275 or 0.26% to Rs.106923 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs.3246.57 crores with volume of 3338 lots and OI of 15586 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs.1654.30 crores with volume of 5176 lots and OI of 17989 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs.820.39 crores. COPPER July-2025 contract was up by Rs.3 or 0.33% to Rs.901.3 per kg and ZINC July-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.8 or 0.31% to Rs.256.8 per kg while ALUMINIUM July-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.05 or 0.02% to Rs.248.9 per kg and LEAD July-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.15 or 0.08% to Rs.180.2 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs.519.25 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs.68.42 crores, LEAD futures Rs.12.06 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs.152.16 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs.1995.53 crores. CRUDEOIL July-2025 contract was up by Rs.59 or 1.05% to Rs.5674 per BBL while NATURALGAS July-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.9 or 1% to Rs.292.9 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs.392.24 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs.1277.55 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL July-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.2 or 0.02% to Rs.929 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs.47285.7 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs.950.48 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was up by Rs.32.5 or 19.12% to Rs.202.50 with volume of 41191 lots & OI of 8946 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was down by Rs.29.2 or 18.99% to Rs.124.6 with volume of 40200 lots & OI of 12278 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by Rs.1.35 or 9.44% to Rs.15.65 with volume of 15310 lots & OI of 6956 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was down by Rs.1.65 or 8.99% to Rs.16.7 with volume of 16383 lots & OI of 5421 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was up by Rs.70.5 or 4.42% to Rs.1666.5 with volume of 1073 lots & OI of 382 lots, while GOLD Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by Rs.46.5 or 3.41% to Rs.1316.5 with volume of 1115 lots & OI of 567 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of Rs.107000 was up by Rs.113 or 4.27% to Rs.2759.5 with volume of 491 lots & OI of 942 lots, while SILVER Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.105000 was down by Rs.182 or 9.76% to Rs.1683.5 with volume of 472 lots & OI of 412 lots.
